He Is Coming Soon
You are tired. You have kept the watch for a long time, and some days it feels like nothing is changing. The same struggles, the same temptations, the same slow progress. You wonder how much longer you can hold on. Revelation ends with a promise that has steadied the church for two thousand years: He is coming soon. That promise is meant to hold you today.

Christ declares that He is coming soon, bringing His recompense with Him to repay each one for what he has done.

The one who testifies to these things says surely I am coming soon, and the church responds, come Lord Jesus.

Guidance
Three times in the last chapter of Revelation, Jesus says, I am coming soon. The church has been hearing that promise for two millennia, and He has not come yet. But soon does not mean what we think it means. It means certain. It means imminent. It means the next big thing on the calendar of history. Everything between His first coming and His second is the patience of God, giving more people time to repent, giving you time to be shaped into His image. The promise is not meant to make you check the news every morning looking for signs. It is meant to make you live today in light of that day. You can endure a hard marriage because He is coming soon. You can stay faithful in a job you do not love because He is coming soon. You can keep serving at church when you are tired because He is coming soon. The end of the story is fixed. Christ returns, the dead are raised, the kingdom comes in full, and every tear is wiped away. That future shapes how you live now. Keep the watch. He is coming.
Notes from the Watch
I do not know when Christ will return. Neither do you. But I know He will, and that is enough to get me through this week and the next one. The church has been saying come Lord Jesus for a long time, and we will keep saying it until He does. In the meantime, we keep the watch. We love our families. We serve our churches. We bear witness. And we wait with hope. He is faithful. He is coming. Hold on, brother.
