The Witness of the Two
You wonder sometimes if your witness matters. You are the only man in your office who goes to church. You are the only dad in the carpool line who does not laugh at certain jokes. You feel alone, and you wonder if staying faithful in a place where no one else seems to care makes any difference. Revelation 11 has something to say about that.

Two witnesses prophesy in sackcloth, are killed, lie dead in the street, and then are raised and called up to heaven by God.

The disciples are called to be witnesses to Christ in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

If we have died with Him, we will also live with Him; if we endure, we will also reign with Him.
Guidance
The two witnesses in Revelation 11 stand in a hostile city and prophesy for 1,260 days. They are hated. When they finish their testimony, they are killed. Their bodies lie in the street for three and a half days while the world celebrates. And then God raises them. He vindicates them. He calls them up to heaven in full view of their enemies. The image is not meant to be decoded into a timeline. It is meant to steady you when your witness feels small and costly. You are not wasting your time. Your faithfulness in a hostile place is seen by God, and it will be vindicated. Maybe not this week. Maybe not this year. But it will be. The call is not to win the argument or to make yourself liked. The call is to bear witness to the truth you know, to live in a way that reflects the kingdom you serve, and to trust that God will honor that witness in His time. Your coworkers may not thank you. Your neighbors may not understand. But you are not doing this for them. You are doing it for the One who raised the witnesses and called them home.
Notes from the Watch
I know a man who has worked at the same factory for thirty years. He prays before lunch in the break room. He does not make a show of it. He just bows his head and prays. A younger guy asked him about it last year and started coming to church. One conversation, thirty years of quiet witness. That is how it works. You do not always see the fruit. But God does. Keep bearing witness, brother.
One move this week
This week, bear witness in one specific place where it costs you something. Do not announce it. Just be faithful and trust God with the outcome.
